The place and our vacation were fantastic! Highly recommend staying here. Yes, there is a train that goes by, a lot, and through the night but honestly, we didn’t mind it, we enjoyed it. You are close to the park entrances but it will take quite a long drive to Logan’s Pass and Many Glacier, roughly 1.5 plus hours. The drive is gorgeous though. Hosts were very responsive and the cabin had everything we needed. We purchased, but did not use our bear spray. Costco had it the cheapest. You can also rent it at the airport or from place in Apgar Village which you should also visit. My son hiked almost 90 miles, my daughter almost 70. My husband and I, age 56, hiked almost 30. Almost made it to Grinnell Glacier but had to stop because that last mile became brutal. There are fantastic views on that hike so it was worth it. We enjoyed an outdoor fire one night and roasted marshmallows which was fun The cabin was cozy and relaxing and we would stay there again.

Too Noisy. Every 15-20 minutes train comes and makes crazy noise even in night time. House was clean and new with nice views but people like me who has light sleep, cant survive here. I was not able to sleep for first 2 days. I did not enjoy train sound at all. Location is better for going to east side of park. Not much to eat around or even grocery stores.

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was beautiful and spacious. Everything was clean and updated. The home was very well stocked, including items I hadn’t even thought of. We had 7 guests with plenty of room for all. We were very happy with the location, about 20-25 min from West Glacier. The hosts were very accommodating and quick to respond. We would absolutely stay here again!
