Hiram M. Chittenden Locks

A complex of locks that connects Puget Sound to the freshwater of Lake Union and Lake Washington. Detail: It's an engineering marvel and a beautiful park. The famous fish ladder allows you to watch salmon migrate upriver through viewing windows during spawning season (typically June to September).
