For a true Birch Bay experience, head just two miles north to our collection of beachside restaurants—enjoy local craft brews, pub fare, coffee shops, and seasonal live music with a view. After dinner, walk along the beach for people-watching and phenomenal sunsets.
Need groceries? You can grab essentials - and even fresh sushi on the weekends- at the Beachwood General Store, just 2 miles south. Bay Center Market is another option, just 2 miles north. For a full supermarket, Blaine is a quick 15-minute drive. Or, skip the trip entirely: use Instacart or Amazon Prime (Whole Foods Delivery is just $10) to have everything delivered to your door. Sahara Pizza, Domino's, and other local restaurants also deliver. Check options with Viking Foods Deliver.
For services and more, the nearby town of Blaine has a post office, library, and shops. For a major day out to enjoy shopping, museums, music, and shows, try Bellingham or Lynden - each a 30-minute drive. And don't forget—Vancouver, BC! The border is only 15 minutes from here.
Birch Bay and Blaine have hair salons, nail salons, spas, and massage services. Check out nearby Semiahmoo for more restaurants, spa services, coffee, and beach walking.
Each of our units has:
* Cooking essentials
* Access to a BBQ
* Shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, dish soap, body wash
* Hair dryer
* Dishes, mugs, glasses, cutlery, mixing bowls, pots, and pans
* Comfortable furnishings, including all bedding, chairs, couch, cooking spaces, TV with streaming channels, and private bathrooms.
* Off-street parking
* Laundry machines and supplies are provided, either in the unit or very close by in the neighborhood.
* An initial supply of consumables is provided, such as coffee, cream, sugar, salt, pepper, paper towels, trash bags, and toilet paper. Long-term guests will purchase their own after the initial supply is depleted.
We prioritize a healthy environment for all our guests. Our standard cleaning protocols are designed to minimize chemical irritants:
For Linens & Fabrics: All sheets, towels, and blankets are washed exclusively with hypoallergenic, fragrance-free detergent.
For Surfaces & Floors: We clean bathrooms, kitchens, and floors with an earth-friendly, non-toxic cleaner as our primary solution.
Special Requests & Heavy-Duty Cleaning: On occasion, a stronger product may be needed to tackle stubborn mineral deposits or soap scum. Please inform us of any sensitivities or allergies at the time of booking. We will make a special note to avoid all use of heavy-duty cleaners in your unit prior to check-in, ensuring your stay is as comfortable as possible.
Bring your furry friend. But if you have allergies, don't worry.
We love hosting pets and their people. To ensure everyone has a great time—including our local wildlife and waterways—we ask that pets be kept on a leash in shared areas and that you clean up after them diligently. Please be mindful of noise to respect other guests.
Don't worry about the noise of dogs in neighboring units. We request that no dogs be left alone in our units if they are barkers.
A Clean Space for Allergic Guests
Your comfort and health are our priority. We understand concerns about pet dander and follow a meticulous cleaning routine after every pet stay:
Our units have hard floors that are scrubbed diligently, including under the furniture and couch cushions. Rugs are washed, and all linens are replaced.
Furniture is thoroughly vacuumed and regularly shampooed.
If you have severe allergies, please let us know when you book. We will schedule an enhanced deep clean before your check-in to ensure the space is exceptionally fresh for you. Our mobile air purifier is available upon request. People with allergies have regularly reported that they were symptom-free in our units.
With years of experience hosting at the Bay, we’ve fine-tuned our rentals for comfort, convenience, and that perfect beach getaway. Here’s what you’ll find:
Cook & Save: We believe in the convenience of a home-cooked meal, even on vacation. Every rental, from full kitchens to cozy studio kitchenettes, includes the essentials: a fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, hot plate, and electric frying pan, along with dishes, cutlery, and access to a BBQ.
Bring the Whole Family (Pets Included!): Your four-legged companions are welcome here. We have strict cleaning standards to ensure our spaces remain fresh for guests with allergies.
The Perfect Location: We carefully select properties within walking distance of Birch Bay’s best features—the State Park, the beach, and delicious local restaurants.
Beach Towels Provided: Pack light! We supply beach towels, so you’re ready to explore the shore the moment you arrive. Pet towels and blankets are available upon request.
Peace & Privacy: Experience a private retreat, not a shared hotel hallway. Every unit has a dedicated, private entrance. Select rentals are standalone homes with private driveways and fenced yards. Other units are studios within a subdivided house, but each has its own private entrance and dedicated parking. For your comfort, community quiet hours are respectfully enforced.
We understand plans can change. Our policy is designed to protect both our guests and our property, and it adjusts based on the length of your reservation:
Extended Stays (Weekly & Monthly): For a full refund, please cancel at least 14 days prior to your arrival. Cancellations within 14 days will receive a 50% refund of the first period's rent, with the cleaning fee and security deposit refunded in full.
Short Stays (Less than a week): For a full refund, please cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled check-in. Cancellations within 48 hours will be charged for one night, and the remaining balance will be refunded.
